  • 2005-2006 - English teacher - GDYNIA, POLAND. I was employed as a contractor by Siesta to provide English tuition, business English lessons and business consulting on minor projects, to a diverse range of students and clients. I have worked with students as young as twelve to senior corporate executives from banking and finance disciplines. I successfully developed a practical and simple method of teaching that students enjoyed and learnt effectively from. I used my own resources to develop and plan lessons, such as course books from Cambridge University Press, the Internet and audio and retain a preference for Cambridge based vocabulary, grammar and or testing material. I prepared students for examinations such as CAE and FCE and I am flexible in being able to teach American English or British English, (as I come from Australia), which is predominantly British English and worked for a US software company for four years. Opportunities arose to provide additional services to clients, such as contract consulting, language editing consulting within business contracts for Doradca and reviewing XML documentation prior to web publication for companies such as Compuware in Gdansk.

The final component was to complete a European Studies Programme with the University of Innsbruck, Austria in January 2005. Lectures were undertaken in Prague, Berlin, Vienna and Innsbruck. I graduated from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia with a Master of Technology Management Degree, (specialising in E-Business) in August 2005.
