What is CEFR?
CEFR is the Common European Framework of Reference (in German) that professional testing centres use to evaluate the English competency of people learning and using English in the workplace.
Berlin Business English specialises in preparing course participants for the BEC - Business English Certificate exam prepared by the University of Cambridge. BEC is officially recognised by more than a thousand educational organisations, employers, ministries, government bodies and professional organisations throughout the world as a suitable qualification for business use. List of major companies in Germany, which have used the BEC examinations as an indication of an individuals English language proficiency.
To prepare for BEC exams or to use the framework as a guide to learning Business English, BBE recommends the Intelligent Business and Market Leader coursebook series by Pearson Longmann.
